Leak Testing as a Service

Testing Service:
Helium Vacuum Leak Testing

High-precision leak testing for components with the highest requirements

High-precision leak testing for components with the highest requirements

MACEAS offers a particularly sensitive testing service using helium vacuum leak testing for components, parts, samples, and small series where even the smallest leaks must be reliably detected. This method is particularly suitable for applications where tightness, product safety, and process stability are crucial – such as pressure-bearing components, vacuum-insulated assemblies, tanks, valves, housings, or safety-relevant systems.

In the MACEAS testing service, we test your products for defined leak tightness requirements before market entry, during development, or as part of quality assurance. This allows weaknesses to be identified early, rework to be initiated specifically, and undesirable failures in later operation to be avoided.

For Prototypes, Pre-series, and Small Batches

Not every company has its own testing technology, suitable vacuum chambers, or the capacity to implement special leak tests internally at short notice. This is precisely where the MACEAS testing service comes in: We handle the leak testing of individual sample parts as well as the testing of small series or components accompanying development.

The service is particularly useful when new components need to be validated, supplier samples evaluated, production processes secured, or technical limits checked. Upon request, we also assist with the selection of a suitable testing procedure and with the test-appropriate preparation of the components.

How Helium Vacuum Leak Testing Works

In the helium vacuum method, the test object is placed in a vacuum test chamber. Subsequently, the chamber and the test specimen are evacuated. After reaching the target vacuum, helium is introduced into the component at a defined test pressure. If helium escapes through a leak, it is detected by a mass spectrometer in the test chamber.

A measurable increase in helium concentration indicates a leak. Due to the very small molecular size of helium, even the smallest leaks can be detected. The method is therefore particularly suitable for components with high demands on tightness, repeatability, and objective measurement results.

Additional MACEAS Testing Methods

Our core competency, leak testing with a tracer gas such as helium, is a reliable method for detecting leaks in industrial applications. Thanks to the small molecular size of the tracer gas, even the smallest leaks can be precisely identified.

Good Reasons to Choose MACEAS

Testing Service and System Experience in One

The MACEAS testing service is not just an option for having components externally tested for leaks. It also offers you the opportunity to experience our high-performance testing systems in action. You will see how modern leak testing works under real conditions, which testing technology is used, and how automated testing processes can be utilized for your own applications.

Thus, the testing service also serves as a practical introduction if you are planning your own testing concept, a special machine, or an automated testing system in the future.

Why MACEAS?

MACEAS combines many years of experience in special machine and plant construction with specific know-how in industrial leak testing. Through the combination of testing services, engineering, fixture construction, and automated testing technology, customers receive not only measurement results but also a technically sound evaluation of their testing task.

Our aim is to implement testing processes reliably, transparently, and practically – from the first sample test to production-ready quality assurance.
